Moroccan Vintage Boujaad Rug – Purple/Orange – 380cm x 160cm

Purple and orange are complementary colours, directly across the wheel from each other, which in vintage Boujaad wool creates a tension that is more complex than any modern equivalent. The two colours age differently: orange mellows toward ochre, purple toward mauve. The balance between them shifts over decades into something a new rug cannot replicate.
