Moroccan Sabra silk square cushion cover – faded aqua blue

Cactus silk is not silk at all. It is spun from the fibres of the sabra cactus, which gives it a rougher, more matte quality than animal silk. It sits flatter, holds colour differently, and feels more like a serious textile than a luxury. That is part of what makes it interesting.

This square cushion cover is handwoven in Morocco in a faded aqua blue, a tone that sits somewhere between a weathered turquoise and a sun-bleached teal. The variation in the weave means the colour shifts slightly depending on the light. Brighter where the fibres catch it, deeper in the recesses.

Cover only, sized for a standard cushion insert. Works well mixed with linen, cotton, and natural fibre textiles.
