Boucherouite is Morocco's answer to the rag rug: woven from recycled fabrics, nylon, cotton scraps, and offcuts rather than spun wool. What makes these pieces interesting is not the materials alone but what Moroccan weavers do with them: the same instinct for abstract composition, the same boldness with colour, but applied to whatever was available. No two are ever alike because the source materials are never alike.

This red and blue piece has a runner format at 243 x 90cm, graphic and bold. The abstract pattern in recycled fabric has a folk-art directness that pile rugs do not.
