Indigo en rood in een schaakbordconfiguratie is een van de zeldzamere Beni M'Guild-varianten. Het schaakbordformaat komt minder vaak voor dan het ruitveld, en indigo als primaire kleur vereiste specifieke verfkennis die niet alle weefsters bezaten. Het resultaat is iets grafischer en symmetrischer dan de meeste Midden-Atlas-werken.
